A memorial service is scheduled to be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at the All Souls Anglican Church in London for the late Komla Dumor, his family has said.
Komla Dumor was pronounced dead on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at a London hospital after he was reportedly taken in an ambulance from his home, where he is said to have collapsed.
Speaking on Joy FM, Esther Cobbah, the Spokesperson of the Dumor Family, said the family is awaiting the cause of death from doctors, though it has been widely reported that the former Joy FM presenter suffered a cardiac arrest.
The preliminary memorial service, Ms Cobbah says, is under the aegis of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), where Komla Dumor worked until his untimely death.
Ms Cobbah asked Ghanaians in London to throng Langham Place for the memorial.
Family members are still conferring over the funeral arrangements of their son, Ms Cobbah said.
