The materials included boxes of chalk, lesson notebooks, textbooks, exercise books, registers, and computers among others.
District Chief Executive of Bosomtwe, Madam Veronica Antwi-Adjei, who presented the materials to the district’s education directorate for onward distribution to the schools, said the move is to re-affirmed government’s commitment in the education sector at the basic level.
She said, about 70 per cent of the assembly’s budget is committed towards education in a bid to uplift the standard of education in the area.
The Bosomtwe District Deputy Director of Education, Mrs Cecelia Antwi, commended the Government and the Assembly for their continued support for the development of education in the district.
She appealed to parents to complement government’s effort in enhancing education by investing in their wards education.
She assured the DCE that, the directorate will ensure that the materials are distributed and used for its purposes.
