Hopes of a back-to-back win for the Upper West Region in TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful was dashed on Sunday, September 6 after representative Nimatu Ibrahim was evicted together with Greater Accra’s Naa Kai Tettey.

It was the first eviction night of the show, which is in its ninth edition. The crown is held by Upper West Region, whose representative, Baci, dazzled viewers with stage acts in 2014.

The night of lullabies saw the ladies educate audience and viewers alike on the history behind lullabies in their respective regions.

Central Region’s Vera Oheneba Esi Safoah emerged the star performer of the night.

Eastern Region’s Adjoa Afariwa Dawson was adjudged most eloquent while Ashanti Region’s Maame Akosua Ayiwa Sika was rewarded for her discipline over the week.

In what became a tough decision for the judges, David Dontoh saved Western Region’s Maame Araba Sabina Hayford while Linda Ampah went in for Northern Region’s Ayesha Iddrisu Mahama, leaving Nima and Kai as the inaugural evictees of Season 9 of GMB.

Volta Region’s Melody Fafa Bossman leads the voting chart going into the next eviction night.
