Black Stars new boy Patrick Twumasi is hoping he can grab his chance and make his trips home for national team duties a permanent feature.

The Khazastan based Twumasi has been called up for the first time and says he is thrilled by the opportunity to at least challenge for a place in the side.

Ghana coach Avram Grant said he has called up Twumasi primarily because of injuries to Asamoah Gyan and Majeed Warris but Twumasi wants to force his hand into more call ups even when those players are available.

“I feel good about this opportunity. I want to do my best and help the team. It is  a great opportunity and all I want is to do my best and grab it well with both hands and make sure I come back often.”

Twumasi plays his club football with Astana FC in Khazastan.
